Despite the current challenges brought about by covid -19 pandemic, AISMAC continues to reach out in to remote communities with the message of
With the effects of COVID -19
pandemic, education service delivery may not easily be the same again
especially in Uganda and Africa at large.
Although Ministry education and the National council of Higher education
in Uganda allowed open Distance end eLearning(ODeL) for higher institutions of learning, it has been a challenging to students and
institute administration to have all students afford internet devices, stable
internet and soft skills to use eLearning applications.
In a bid to adopt the new normal, Africa Institute of strategic management and capacity building and capacity building(AISMAC) has embarked on training their students on soft skills as part of their orientation program to both new and continuing students. The program which started at the beginning of July, 2021 is registering enormous impact as many students of AISMAC in remote rural areas have adopted the use of zoom and other eLearning platforms in learning.
The last session was in
Lamwo district where many students attended the session. AISMAC is still carrying out similar programs
aiming at building capacity of communities especially in rural areas to cope up
with the new era brought about by Covid -19.
